Pest Control Overview

The bulk of pest control calls are reactive responses to situations involving unwanted bugs, mice, termites, squirrels or other pests. Another percent of pest control calls are part of a routine maintenance agreement established with businesses and homeowners to prevent the intrusion of pests. Pest control experts are routinely involved with strong chemicals and require specialized certification to handle these toxins. Safety is of very high importance, while protecting the customer is also critical.

Unique Issues

Chemicals used in the pest control business must be carefully stocked on the trucks in a safe manner and handled very carefully when there is a site visit. With that in mind, a pest control call may take a bit longer than other types of service industry calls because additional care must be taken to handle these dangerous chemicals. Also there can be routine reviews on site with the customer to confirm that any pest issues have been resolved satisfactorily. Therefore, communication is essential to make sure pests are kept under control and the customers are satisfied with the work performed.

How Visitrack Helps

When a customer request is entered into the Visitrack system, businesses can quickly assign a pest control expert to the job and prioritize the work accordingly. Communication rules can be set in place to send reminders to field workers on their visits and special notes can be recorded on areas that needed extra treatments or customer review is required.
